Where are you at. I know two twin 17 year old boys that would gladly throw the hay if not to far away.

Good luck,
Since my boys have grown up and have jobs of their own, I offer $10.00/hour cash up here to help me bale when the boys can't help and I can't find any takers. Kids nowadays are just plain lazy, just want to give their thumbs a work out playing video games and ask Mom and Dad for cash. :baby:
Sure miss having my boys help, those two horses can throw bales all day and never miss a beat. I had to buy an elevator this past year to make up for the loss of their help.
I remember as a kid helping out neighboring farmers when our's was done for $1.00/hour and jumping at the chance to make some cash.
Anyways, sorry for venting, if I was closer wouldn't mind helping you out.

Only 1000-1300 in a day? You Kentucky guys must do light work.LOL I can't tell you how many thousands and thousands of bales of hay I have thrown. The most I remember with a
crew of 5 guys and one large trailer was about 2200 in a day. You don't have to worry about sleeping well after that days work! If I was close I would be on it! I miss that work now that I drive and type on a computer all day. My brother and I would mow grass from 7am till about noon and that was time to hit the fields. My dad lined up ALL the local farmers
and they sure NEVER forgot our phone # come hay time!! Oh, memories of yesteryear!! Love it!! I hope your day goes well with no rain!!

I'd be happy to help if you weren't to far away. I'm used to throwing 10,000 15,000 a week. We are getting ready to cut here any day. Good luck finding help.

I never did the hay thing but Ive primed a lot of tobacco and shoveled a lot of corn. I can remember getting as low as $3 an hour and as high as $5 an hour when I was a teenager , And that wasnt that long ago. im only in my 30's now. The young bucks around you should hop on it for $10 an hour. ( 30's Hmmm maybe it has been longer than I realized lol )
