Been feeding sport mix 24/20 during the cooler months now that the heat is on, not real happy with it.Anyone feeding anything else besides-------Purina Performance? It hurts my feeling to pay 40 dollars a 50lbs bag.......Not that i dont want too feed the best just hate to pay for it. Any suggestions would be useful.

I am having great luck with Pride Professional in 21/17. Just switched from Diamond Natural Chicken and Rice and wasted a lot of money on that!!

Had fed SportMix for a few years until I started hearing about Southern States new Advanced formulas. Been feeding it for a year now and I really like it.
I haven't tried their Complete version -- been feeding the Advanced Active.

When I fed the SportMix, I switched to the Maintenance formula during the summer.
Even though Southern States largest bags are 40lbs, cost wise was the same for me on buying 500lbs -- actually gained 20lbs.

I am also in the dog food blues, I always fed the green bag of Sportsmix, my dogs love it. But they waste a lot of it in their stools, they crap all the time. I am to looking for something different and better. I think I'm going to take a look at the silver bag of Black Gold.

I am currently feeding the 4 Health brand from Tractor Supply. Just recently switched over to it from Taste of the Wild a few months back. Dogs seem to be doing really good on it. Actually are keeping a little more weight on than I would like to see and I'm only feeding about 1 and 3/4 cup a day. They do get their running in as well so it's not like they just lay around everyday. I am getting it for 30 dollars for a 35lb bag of the food. It is corn and grain free, dogs waste is small and firm.
