Puppy Food Brands of choice?

I am wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the best puppy food out there. I use to always use Purina puppy chow, but I am looking for something better. Seems to me as though they have a lot of waste on Puppy Chow and I don't like the ingredient list at all. I would never feed my adult dogs a corn based dog food but that is what Puppy Chow is. I am looking at Diamond or maybe Pride. Just wondering if any one has any experience with either of these. One I will never use is Nutro, like to starved my dogs to death. Looks good on paper but dogs did BAD on it. Thanks!

I have had good luck with Diamond puppy. I really like Nutri-Source puppy but I have 4 bags of Pride puppy in the garage waiting for pups no pups so I have been mixing about 3 to 1 and feeding all the dogs. It looks and smells good and the dogs had no problem adjusting and I had to cut back the feed as they were gaining weight. So I guess in short Diamond, Pride, or Nutri-Source have all worked for me.

I use Pro Plan Puppy. The ingredients is top of the line, the number 1 ingredient is Chicken. The pup right now is growing like a weed, looks very healthy, is always on the go and seems to be very happy. I will continue to use this feed. It's pretty pricey, 40lbs at $27.00.

There is very little waste and its always firm.

No. What joey is feeding is pretty pricey. For that price you could be feeding them New York Strip.

Got 6 puppies on Diamond puppy food right now, all seem to be doing great on it. Started on wet feed at 4 weeks and dry at 5 weeks. Weaned all at 5 weeks.

I like the Pride Puppy, and the Diamond puppy better than the Purina. I had used Purina for years until 3 or 4 years ago. It will crap them to death, and a bigger bag is hard to find without all the dye in it.

I fed my pups the Pride 26/20 Pro, not a puppy chow but they did better than any pups I have had in a long time. I supplemented with leftover cornbread, gravy and biscuits from the table, which I have been hesitant to do in the past but they grew like horses and had no problems at all.
