I have been using the 1.87% horse wormer paste on my dogs to prevent heartworm for years. I squeeze it out on my finger & wipe it on their tongue once a month. Never had a dog test positive for heart worms. One tube will treat 4 hounds for about 2 years & sometimes you'll wind up throwing it out because it expires before it's empty. $3.99 @ Tractor Supply.

As far as dosage I treat each dog with a small dab the size of a pencil eraser.

As with anything you should check with your Vet. Our old farm Vet said it's fine.

We have used this some and it works. Dab a little bit out at a time. You will get too much and waste some using the tube.

they make it in Apple flavor now. Just went and bought a new tube today. I was also looking at the Zermecterin. Has anyone used that? From reading it, it seems like it might be a good all around wormer for everything.

I also bought a bottle of Ultra Shield for fleas, flies and ticks. Its a horse product that can also be used on dogs over 12 weeks. Last up to 17 days.
