I like to run anytime, but seems like in March I usually jump more rabbits and have the best running. Too bad the NC season ends in Feb.

like the summer months with some greenery and moisture but to evaluate hounds like cold temps, snow and ice, plus no fleas , ticks and grass to cut. peace

Any month that the good Lord gives me to run my hounds and to enjoy life is a good month to run.

March is good here in Michigan for training younger hounds because the rabbits are breeding and are really out and don't like to hole up for obvious reasons. But I would agree, any month that I am able to run is a favorite...Tony

I like April and May the best where I'm at in Michigan. Gun season ends March 31, but it isn't till around April 15th when things start greening up. Once things start getting green it isn't unual to get a race go two hours. The only problem is April 15th is the start of the quiet season, which is when you aren't supposed to be running. I guess we don't have too many lawmakers that appreciate hound music.............lol Bob
P.S. October is pretty darn good also, and it's legal, you can gun, and sometimes you can meet a bowhunter that appreciates good hound work.
it wouldnt let me

Any month with an "R" in it; especially if there's snow on the ground, which there usually is.
