Just how do you measure a beagle. i measured mine just like they would stand on a podium. Then measure at the shoulders. What is the right way to measure.

Measure in a normal stance (head up) on top of the withers (shoulder blades). It is imperative that the dog stand to get an accurate measure. Lots of beagles are timid about the whole process and are difficult to accurately measure! The most accurate measure is found with a "measuring stand".
