I have been feeding it for a couple weeks now.I had a buddy though that just told me he thought it was hard on his dogs stomach.I know everyone has an opinion but would like some feed back from anyone feeding this or that has fed it how it worked for you.I hunt my dogs during the season sometimes 3 to 4 times a week and this past season could not keep wieght on them and that's why I am switching.I am not able to run them that much in the off season so I wont know about the wieght but wanted to find something before the season starts up.Thanks for any input!!

I have fed dimond high protien all winter and it has worked well with feeding 1 1/2 cups per dog. I only run my dogs on avarage once a week. I will be going back to the lamb and rice for summer months. I used purina high protein for a few years in the winter but they stoped making it this year it was a real good food for the money the purina one is good but costs to much for me. I wish they would make a feed that was 20% Protein and 14% fat that would make a good summer feed . Jaybird where do you live . I should have a litter here out of the Lesage female by the end of april last years pups are turning out good from what I hear they had rabbits killed over them at 7 months and the owners said these kind of dogs are not for sale. I am going to keep two out of this litter so let me know if your Interested.

ive been feeding it for about a year now all my dogs seem to like it. they have solid stools, plenty of energy to run all day and have maintained a steady weight since i started feeding it. they spent april to july in the kennel just getting to run around while i clean their kennels out every night, during the summer i ran them 4 to 5 nights a week and in the winter probably 2 or 3 days a week and they never gained or lost any weight. i havent had any problems with it.

I fed it for 5 months through the winter and I'll never feed it again. My dogs lost weight, their coats lost their shine, and they produced a lot more stools than they did on Diamond Premium. I switched back to Premium right after that and they all improved right away. I also mentioned my experiences to others at field trials and found many to have the same experiences as me. My feed store has since went under and I found Sportsmix to be just as good, cost is about the same, and a little easier to find here.

Hope this helps, Da Chief

I've fed my dogs the Diamond High Energy for almost 3 years now and have had no problems keeping weight on my dogs during the winterwith only feeding 1 1/2 cups. Their coats are shinny. One thing I will agree with on chief is that they do have more stools on High Energy than the Premium but the stools are hard. With the High Energy if you need to beef your dog up fast it will get the job done.

I havn't tried the High Energy food, But I tried the Diamond Extreme Energy. I didn't have a problem with it. It's high in fat & protein. I thought it might be a little rich for my dogs since I only get to run on the weekends in the winter. If I ran 3 or 4 times a week I would feed it. So I went back to the Lamb & Rice.

Ihave been feeding high energy for about a year now to my rabbit and coon dogs. Their stool is solid but there seems to be more. (use to feed black gold). I run my beagles 2 to 3 days a week and my coon dogs 4 to 5 nights a week they also have good energy. They keep their weight on good and their coats are very healthy. I buy mine from TSC sells for $23 a bag every now and then it will go on sell for $20 a bag which is great a feed 50# a week it seems to be a great food that works for me.

I had been feeding Diamond Hard Energy but I couldn't keep weight on my dogs in the winter with it, their coats also looked dull. I switched to Diamond's Taste of the Wild Wetlands formula and it got a little better but still not great and it was alot more $$. The last switch I made was to Tractor Supply's 4Health Performance and so far I'm extremely pleased, my dogs have more energy now than they've had in years. I think I finally found the right food for them

I was feeding diamond high energy and switched to extreme athlete due to the winter we were having and the running we were doing. I tried to ween them on it but it still gives them the runs. Im going to go back and try chicken and rice.

I feed (green bag) diamond 26/18. I like it better than the 24/20 diamond. My hounds do very good on the green bag.
