Wondering after having pups when does the Bitch come into Heat.She had the pups back on 6/5/09,have been keeping a close eye on her.I have her on a chain.Thought I had it pretty close but have not seen anything yet.She seems so much more happy on the chain,do not have the hart to put her in the Kennel for the rest of the winter,she really hates it in there.Any ideas or thoughts would be great.Thank You. Some dogs come in every six months and some only come in once a year. If she had pups in June and hasnt been in heat since then she will probably come in around the end of March to the beginning of April.

My females come in evey Six months. I did have one female that you could set a clock to that came in every 4 months no matter if she was bred or not.

One of my females had pups on Sept. 27th, & just went out of heat a few weeks ago. So with her, it was about 6 months from when she was bred, in July.

No telling when she will come in heat. You better keep an eye on her.

Mine vary from four months to close to a year with most being close to six months.

I have one that would come in every 6 months just like clock work and after I decided to breed her it has been almost 10 months and she still hasn't come in yet. All the other female around her have come in and gone out and every time one would come in heat I would put her in with it and that still hasn't brought her in but you could bet she would come in if I planned a hunting trip.
