Gerber Small Game Shears GET A BIG THUMBS DOWN!!

only took 20rabbits and they are now dull. THey did great on the first 5. Doubt I could get alot of use out of them with as many as we clean. Think I'd need 20 small game shears for the entire season.
What do you all use for cutting thru the bones? I do not like snapping them with my hands. IT can pierce your skin.

that is what we use. they are great for cutting feet off. I use the method from the video for everything else. don't remember the post, but it is great.

A small hatchet and a small block of wood work good and you can two at a time

We use just regular ole kitchen shears from Wal-mart. Have touched a rabbit with a knife for years! They are fairly cheap and when they wear out. Throw them away and get buy another set.

i use a regular ole knife works well for me and i clean around 250 a year

Joeyman, I use trauma shears. They work great.... tough as nails. u can cut a penny in half with them. they don't seem to get dull.

they can be sharpened. i use crock sticks. i love my gerber game shears.

No need to cut through any bone just seperate the feet at the joints.

This is also what I do. I will snap the legs once in a while but sidecutters work a whole lot easier and they're not that big of a deal to carry around.
