I am not for sure is she still runs beagles or not but I would about bet she is. I know at one time she did sell a pup every now and then. I have a female that her sire came from her and I would say she is the best I have ever owned. I will send you a pm with contact info if you want to contact her

The Bobbits are my neighbors and yes, they still have bunch of hounds. They are very nice people that are dedicated to the breed. Now as far as having anything for sale, I don't know. I haven't had the chance to take to them lately.
Let me know if you need anymore info.

I haven't talked to her in years but if she is in good health, I'd be that she will be at the next Tripe Challenge at Aldie, Virginia. She is a very nice person and I think she would sell pups/dogs when they are available.

I was up there a couple of months ago - traded pups with Billy Bobbitt. We put a pack on the ground for a couple of hours out of Billy's and four I brought up. Good runs and Mandy was there watching as well. I can give you contact info if needed.

They have some very nice hounds, most looked to be 15" hounds. They are very line controlled hounds but lack foot speed for me as I run ARHA little pack.
I have known the Bobbits for all my life and you won't find any better people anywhere.
If you like that type of hound, I wouldn't look any further.

Jim

I don't believe you have ever run with the Bobbitts. There hounds definitely do not lack foot speed. They run formal pack - only difference I see in that and LP is their dogs don't swing/cut quite as much as LP. I have run LP, PP, AKC midwest/eastcoast federations and gun hunted so I do know what foot speed can be found in each - if you think their hounds are slower than yours, you must have jet engines tied to their butts.

Biged, I have run with them and some others that were out of their kennels and as I said, they are nice hounds but they do lack foot for my pack. I run a 8 to 9 on speed and their's are 6-7. So, for my likings, they do lack some foot.

The few hounds I have sen out of the bedlams stuff seem to be honest to goodness rabbit dogs. Most seem to be a medium speed hound. Holly that tim l has is a quik little girl but I run some hounds about like jims and to me the bedlam stuff is a step slower. But sometimes that is not always a bad thang as Holly has handed it to me many times with her ability and heart!

They actually have 2 packs in the same kennel. Billy has the Glenbarr pack and Mandy the Bedlam pack (both already had packs when they married).

The last time I saw the Bedlam pack in the field, they were mostly 13 inch and a bit more conservative than my Woodpont hounds. I believe Billy's pack is more of the 15 inch variety. Both packs have quite a bit of the Virginia SPO and UBGF bloodlines, which tend to be more conservative in style, especially if compared to Little Pack or Midwest types.

I attended the National Beagle Club's Triple Challenge event about 4-5 years ago and got to meet and visit with both Mandy and Billy Bobbit while there. As previously mentioned they are both very nice folks.
At the Triple Challenge they have 2 field events and a bench show. One field event they call a "brace format" but they actually run the hounds as a trio. The other field event is a Large Pack "stakes" which they run for 3 hours.I ran a female that is IFC Maravics Blue Ninja breeding top and bottom, one other guy had a hound that he said he ran in ARHA Little Pack trials and Billy Bobbit had a male from his formal Bedlam pack [this was in the brace format ].I jumped a rabbit and the judge had us catch our dogs and put them on the line all together. This was at the nursery and we had a view of the rabbit going away for probably 200-300 yards up a hillside and through knee high Cristmas trees. No disrespect to anyone's hound but as far as track speed my hound and the other fellow's hound were considerably faster than Billy's hound carrying that track. My female placed 2'nd the next day in the Large Pack stakes out of 30 entered.
