Worm on skin of rabbit?????

Today was opeaning day. We got 6 and one of the rabbits had a fat darkish color worm hanging off of his skin. Ive never seen it before
anybody know what it could be. It was prolly about 3/4 inch long.

Most likly a warble or wolves as the southern boys callthem.

yep thats what we call them wolves.
nasty looking little ********.
after a couple good frost they disapear.
i shot one today the wolve was gone but this one had
a horable case of flea's, man i picked it up an they start getting all over my hand and was just every where.
i have never seen that before.

The last couple years I have noticed the fleas being real on rabbits here in Ar. The swamp rabbits usually had a few fleas but not the cotton tail. Now days there both cover up with them nasty things!!! I don't have a clue why but could sure do with out em!!!

Yea those worms were nasty looking. I didnt know wether i should eat the rabbit or not. I just tossed the rabbit back in the woods. Let a fox or something have a free dinner. I darn sure wasnt eating it.
