I would advise to stay patient. I had on that sounded like Bevis when she started sounded like "hehehe"
You wouldn't belive it was the same dog if you could hear her today. She has an awsome mouth and sounds like a big male.

Same here! I sold a started pup that sounded like a bird chirping. In fact the new owner named her "Birdie". I recently heard her running and she has a horn bawl that can be picked out in any pack.

The first two dogs I ever had, I bought as a pair. They were running dogs when I bought them. They were rabbit dogs. Although they were slower than the bloodline that I eventually got into, they circled a rabbit and that was all that mattered to me at the time. Anyhow, neither of them had a bawl mouth. They both yipped and whined when they were on the track. I hated it. It was annoying. But they did their job and that was what mattered to me. They were 3 or 4 years old when I got them. I sold them 3 or 4 years later when I got dogs with a tad more speed. I wasn't sorry to see them "yippee", "whiney" voices leave.
My newest dog just turned a year old about 6 weeks ago. She had that same whiney voice until a week or two ago. She doesn't quite have a bawl mouth, but it is a lot less annoying than what it was.
Hope yours gets better.
good luck. be careful out there.
