I don't know how much foot you really want, but I'd give the nod to GreenBay Shooter.

http://www.hilltopkennels.net

His number is on the website. Shooter is a great hound and he might lack a few steps now, he still has enough wheels to stay in the lead or close to the front with 2 to 3 year old hounds. He'll throw a lot of brains into a litter and will throw tight check work.

harecharmer ringo stuff is front end kind of hounds with the brains to handle it
i hear the rising son dogs have foot to spare
im sure there are others but these come to mind when you talk about front runners
i would say that if ol spade is throwin his foot in his pups he can sure pack the mail.
but i have the most experience with the harecharmer stuff and in my opinion its hard to beat if you want plenty of foot and the nose and brains to handle the front...just my opinion of course :D ..good luck in your search

I really like the stuff I've seen out of TALKABOUT BLUE JASPER.Throws some of the best looking dogs I've seen. What I've run with seems to have hard hunt, clean mouths, and plenty of foot.I've got a 6 month old male in the starting pen right now.No disrespect to any other stud dogs out there right now. There are some nice ones on the board.

If you are looking for front runners, I would look at FC Wookie or AKC FC and UKC HBCH John L Dock. I co-own a hound that I think will be blazing fast with lots of control. He's the last picture on my signature.

Hard thing about evaluating a stud's throwing power is that often the stud is dead and gone before the true results of their ability is known. Based on the results todate I would say Reggie has to be way up there. I'm guessing that Reggie will end up being one of those hounds people are still talking about in 10 - 20 years. Similar to how we talkabout Heli-prop, Blue Ninja, Ali-baba, Turbo and others now....but time will tell.

I agree with you Pete in regards to Reggie. Not just because he is a World Hunt Winner and not just because he made Field Champion in the United States and in Canada [not an easy accomplishment ] making him an International Field Champion.
I believe performance proves the pedigree and Reggie 's performance speaks for itself and his pedigree is full of dogs that have very strong reproducing genetic backgrounds and have themselves come from reproducing sires and dams. When we look at Reggie we are also having to take into consideration that great reproducers such as I.F.C.Maravic's Blue Ninja who is there as the grandsire top and bottom on Reggie's dam and that also gives you F.C. Branko's Jack of all Trades as the maternal great grand sire twice on the bottom plus I.F.C. Greenbriar's Old Black Magic who was out of the outstanding FTC. Otterbrook Sam.
Reggie's top side is just as strong with Turbo,Heli-Prop and there's Jack of all Trades again. On his maternal grand dam's side is FTC. Armando's Little Conman who was sired by FTC The Elm's Jiggs Maggie's Mate-a half brother to Jack of all Trades. Also in that side of the pedigree is Camp Creek Gertrude, she sired by IFC Able's East Coast Trimmer who happens to also be the father of Jack of all Trades!
Great hounds get noticed usually by their trialing accomplishments.Great gundogs no matter how good usually their reputation is not very widespread and thus their use as a stud is not maximized like the trial hound.Number #1 you have to have a superior hound and #2 you have to PROMOTE that hound. That is one major benifit we all have in regards to Reggie is that Kevin and Terry have both promoted Reggie and he has been bred to extensively.Because so many have decided to use Reggie he has a TON of pups on the ground from which we will be able to evauluate his worth as a stud reproducing a high percentage of above average hounds.Figuring some of those bitches brought to him might be worthless, some below average in their rabbit running abilities, some just average, some above average and some downright outstanding bitches we will have to use our own judgement as to how the crosses have worked. It is my belief that when bred to the good quality of females and using judicious linebreeding Reggie could very well produce hounds of the higher quality and as you said leave his mark where we will be talking about him way into the future.
