What is Wrong with my dogs?!! PIC

I noticed a small red cirlcle or two on my female pup's stomach about a week ago. I thought it was bite marks from playing. Today I looked again and she has about twenty. I looked at my older female and male, they both have multiple circles. It looks as though they are a bite from something, even some dried blood on some. They are on Frontline Plus, Ivomec wormer and safeguard wormer.
They don't seem to bother the dogs at all. All of the bites appear to be on the stomachs and gentials of all 3 of my dogs.
What is causing these bites??????????????
p.s. The dogs are in the house a lot and my fiance and I don't have any bites on us..........

WHEW!!!!
I was just out in the lawn with the dogs and they had gnats flying around them. I turned my female pup over and sure enough she had a gnat latched onto her stomach and it was FULL of blood! I'm glad it's just gnats and not ringworm or something else like that.
Anybody have any suggestions on a fly spray or bug spray that is safe for dogs? Can I use deet products?

Looks like ringworm to me. Get you some Nu-Stock and will clear it up.
Had them get it in the past and that is what I have always used to knock it out.

It is absolutely ringworm. Worms in general are real bad news, especially if you have kids. It can be very dangerous. Ringworm, Hookworm, Tapeworm and Roundworm can be passed to you or your kids. Ringworm from a dog is most commonly spread to humans through direct contact with your infected dog. The fungi cling to the fur or cells that an infected dog sheds, potentially contaminating surfaces the dog comes in contact with. Soil, floors, linens, towels, bedding, furniture and clothing can all harbor the fungus and transmit ringworm to a human or another animal. I know many don’t consider “worms” as a big deal, but we should.

Well I really believe it is gnat bites. Here is a picture about 4 hours later AFTER I saw a gnat bite her on the stomach. You can clearly tell the new bites from the old. You can also see the old bites fading in color.
My mature dogs also have bites, but they have much more hair so they only have a few spots. Sophie my pup, has little hair allowing easier access to bare skin.
It is hard so see in the photos, but each dot has a small hole in the middle. Some also have some blood crusted in the hair. I don't think ring worms do that...
Does anybody have any reccomendations on a fly spray, or should I just use Off or something similar?
Sorry to freak out right away, the miss' wanted to bring them to the vet. I'm glad I was home and she didn't run them in herself
Thanks for all of the advice. I will keep you posted if something changes.

... It's not ringworm. B-man figured it out. Just blackfly bites or gnats as he called them.
darn things aren't out here yet, be another few weeks before there are clouds of them swarming.
B-man, any sort of horse wipe does the job for a couple of days.

I guess “absolutely” is a strong word to use. It does look like Ringworm to me, especially if the dog is on a preventative to repel fleas, ticks, flies etc… but it could be an insect bite of some type if your preventative is “due” again or not working. But here are some pictures of some actual “Ringworm”. In a few days you will know if it is Ringworm if the hair falls out around the bite. Good Luck
chapkosbeagles, I was not stating that “ringworm” is an actual worm. If you read my post you will see that I referred to it as a “fungi”. It is actually caused by dermatophytes. I was simply pointing out the few things that many take lightly about their dogs having, is actually dangerous things that not only can harm your dog, but be passed on to you or your children.

What is this "jock itch" you speak of? Could someone please post a pic so I can familiarize myself with it?

Don't you guys have a blackfly season down south?? They'll absolutely drive you out of the woods up here when in full swing, some years worse than others.
We've had some springs here where they were bad enough to swell a dogs eyes shut, much less the red spots on their under bellies.

NorWester1, I'm in Alabama..........never seen flies or gnats do that to a dog. Seen flies make a dogs ear raw and will have black crud on them but nothing like posted in the above picture.
Yall can keep them up there...............Guess it's a good trade off -- we have the snakes which is easy to deal with. LOL

Scientist have found that the “fungi” you are referring to in NE Ohio under microscope looks like this:

I have had fly bites on a dog’s ear from time to time, but nothing to the extent to what you’re talking about. If that is what he is dealing with you are more than likely right. I was just guessing what it may be with what we deal with around here. It has to be a pain to try and run with swarms of black flies.

My money's on ringworm, spritz some apple cider vinegar on it...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ringworm
It is catching.
Don't look for black flies for another 2 weeks.
I have no doubt the gnats are going for the blood at the surface of the skin.
