Today was a bad day indeed for hosea haralson and his family. And me as his friend and his running buddy. you see his two best dogs out of his males were hit and killed by a car today . cutthroat buddylove who was fresh of of a win at fifelake in lrg pack on hare. out of 50 big males. and his up coming star. cutthroat pimpjuice. which just placed in the top five in two out of three lrgpack hunts one in texas and one in la. at mel fausts house. this winter at under 2yrs old. This is just a testiment to the fact that bad things happen to good people. and good dogs. RIP BUDDY AND JUICE we will miss you. i know there in heaven pooring the coal to a rabbit wright now . and will be there when we get there down the road in our lives. because my idea of heaven is being there with family and friends enjoying our great hounds together day in and day out. SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS HOSEA scottcalkins and family dont worry we will make that cross with hummer and fud to get another juice i promise!!!!!!

man i am sorry to here that it is hard to lose a good hound but two really sucks. i saw old buddy run and he looked awesom at that largepack trial he was a hell of a dog. i was glad to be able to see him run. i am really sorry to here that bud, and there is really nothing i could say to make you feel better. i truly know what it is like. it is easyer if you go right out and get a new pup. it not the same but it sure helps

Hosea, sorry to here about your dogs! It's a darn shame to loose good dogs that way. Like Scott said it just goes to show "Bad things to happen to good people" Doug Colliers, Runner dog torn his ACL at Fife Lake and Hosea & Doug are two of the friendliest guys out there.

Words can't express how I feel for ya. I know what those dogs meant to you and especially your wife, she truly loved that Buddy dog and considered him family. If im'e not mistaken Buddy was in your wedding pictures. That Juice dog was really an up and coming powerhouse too.

My condolances Hosea, I wish you the best during this very trying time in your life. Being relatively new to beagling, i've yet to experience the loss of a beagle like that. Keep your head up friend.

Hosae sorry to hear about Buddy and Juice, Scott filled me in last night and my heart sank when I heard the news. I know how excited and proud you are of those two dogs and their accomplishments, and I can only imagen what your feeling right now. Keep your chin up!!

Hosea and Kristi, Very Sorry too hear about Buddy and Juice , that really really sucks. I ran against buddy more than once and he was a nice dog. Condolences, The Nummer Family.

I want to thank everybody on here for their support. It's not easy losing a nice hound like Buddy, let alone Juice on the same day!

My loving wife sure has a way with words that I could never come close to matching. If you haven't checked out her post "One more post for Cutthroat Buddy Love." You should because not only is it a great read, but it really touched me!

Beagles are probably the most loyal and giving creatures on this planet, and Buddy was no exception. Many dogs run a rabbit because it is just what they were bred to do. But the special ones are more driven than what is average. They don't want to let their masters down. They keep on going many times when they probably should stop…

Juice had some of the same traits that buddy did when he was a young, and I’m really going to miss him as well. For now they are gone, and until we meet again, there’s only one thing I can do about it… Get another pair bred as close to the same as is possible, treat em right, and keep pushing forward!

If the tables were reversed and I passed away, I wouldn’t have wanted them to stop running… So I’m sure they don’t want me to stop either!!!
