Hey you guys I have a quick question about my 9 month old female. I am having trouble catching her when I take her out of the pen but when I am in the pen with her I have no trouble with her. Anybody have a clue why she does that?

Take her somewhere fenced in fasten a 40' cord to her collar let her out to the lenghth of cord call her if she does not come give her a tug on cord call her again if she does not respond bump her with ecollar set on low call her again yank on cord bump her again with intensity turned up.sooner or later she will get the idea she needs to get to you when you call her after she starts coming to call drop cord let her run as she pleases for a while then call her if she comes your all set ,if not bump her a little . if she still dont come get hold of cord and start all over. it takes time some learn quick others are more hard headed . hope this helps

If you don't have a E-collar use a piece of weedeater cord about 4 to 5 ft. long and snap it to her collar then when it's time to go all you have to do is reach down as she comes by and grab the cord.

Tenntreedog has it right for sure. I use that exact method, usally takes a dog about 15 minutes to figure it out . An annual reminder doesn't hurt either.

The 40 fott chord is the best way. You can work in a reward of a milkbone every other time or so. I just don't give them the treat every time.

I used the above method also on a female that I just purchased and didn't won't you to touch her but what I did different was that when I bumped her I would hit the tone button and it only took bumping her 3 times and now when I get ready to go home I just tone her along with my other dogs and they all come right in.
