Chuck, how are you doing? Can you believe it has been 14 years since we were making them trips back and forth from Bluefield and Bozoo? All in the name of Beagles! Bev beat me to it, but here is some pretty good ones of Magic and his Sire Rowdy. Call me, lets go running, Jim

The second pic of night train is with D. McCaffey not RB Sester.

Night train was a powerful running hound, 13+++. Awful splayed front legs likely prevented him from being bred more. Other than front legs he's a good looking hound with great head and ear. I remember seeing him with no hair on the last 6 inches of his tail from running so much in muliflower rose.

Is Night Train still alive? If so, who owns him.

Wow, that so didn't look like Dwight MaHaffey to me, lol. I assumed it was R.B.

Last I knew Nigtrain was in Ohio. Call Mr. Sester he'll be glad to help you.

Last summer I was going to breed to him, he was still alive then. If he is still alive he is in Coatesville PA. A guy name Jeff Dean owns him

I have to take issue with Danny King's comment above about Magic "wasn't the cleanest". I judged FC. Deaton's Black Magic twice in licensed trials and he was hands down the best hound in his class both days. He made the hare-bred hounds look silly by cutting them nearly every time they overran the line. He had a more powerful nose than anything we saw both times and there was just no question of who was going to win the class....We just needed to sort out 2nd thru 5th. He also had better conformation than just about everything else.

I also watched Magic's sire (Fld. Wnr. Indian Hills Rowdy) run once and thought he was a clean running hound. If fact, I bred to Rowdy because of it. I also judged his grandsire (FC. Indian Hills Majer) several times and he was a tremendous hound. I even watched Majer's sire (Little Rowdy VI) run, so I guess you could say I know that line well. I'm proud to have a LOT of that line in my kennel today. It produces hounds that give you speed and nose with close-turning line control. Great hounds for pack work and gunning.
