I personally don't use drontal, because I use Interceptor which takes care of all intestinal worms and heart worms, it doesn't get tapes, I use droncit for tapeworms once every 3 months. YOu can order drontal from the following website without a vets prescription. They are located in Austrailia, but it only takes the stuff that I order about 5 days to get here. I have ordered from them for over a year without any problems at all. Here is the website:

To alabama John: You can get 40 drontal plus tablets for 22lbs dogs for 135.00 which is a lot cheaper than what you are paying.

Big dog, thanks for the heads up. I use the 68 mg pill for 26 lb dogs and over made by Bayer and the generic ones are 50 mg. for 22 lb dogs. I wonder if they worm the same. Some of my dogs are 30 lbs. Would sure be a savings if they did.

I have used the 50mg pills. I would divide one pill into quaters. I would give each beagle one whole pill plus a quarter of the pill. That should cover a 30lb. dog.

I get a bottle of 50 pills made by Bayer for medium and large dogs. 1 pill for 26 to 30 lbs. I break them in half and fourths. 1/4 per 7 lbs. Bottle from the vet costs $330. Looks like the pills from down under would be alot cheaper, I think, Big Dog. Those pills are for small dogs. Let me know if you get this figured out for me. I am starting to get confused. Looks like 3/4th of my pill would equal one of your pills. Still you got the better deal.
What about this generic tapewormer I saw on the other site????
Thanks,
SAlly

The droncit pill that I get for tapeworms takes care of dogs up to 22lbs. Most of mine are in this category. I buy the interceptor for medium sized dogs. So far this combination seems to work well for me. I give the droncit once every 3 months and the interceptor every month.
