We had another great day! Plenty of running and the dogs did it well. We just can't seem to get over the 2 a day hump. Still a great day for WV hare!

Good looking dogs Brad! Looks like you had a real good day. Running hare is definitely a blast, I have to drive about 2.5 hours to get to them here in Michigan. Snow has been terrible here this year!

Thanks for the comments guys. The dogs wouldn't cooperate very well for the camera. I am fortunate enough to live close to the mountains and can be in hare country in about 30 minutes.

Hey Old Boy, where'd those dogs come from? You been stealing from me or WHAT? These hare all killed with the commanche? I haven't fired mine yet. Maybe after this warm spell we can get the dogs out. Good job.

Only one of those hounds are from up north, the other two are home grown! I would venture to say that you have seen all of them go before though! No commanche yesterday, had to break out the long gun. It is starting to get near the end of the season and I wanted a couple for the skillet! (You have seen me shot the pistol) LOL! One of the first chases was a Feb. rabbit, it packed up and left. It took us over 2 hours to finally get in on the dogs and by that time it was tracked up and breaking down badly. That one lived to be ran another day.

Bob,

Between fighting with the dogs and the cameraWOMAN at the moment of the picture, it just didn't work out that well....ROFLMAO!

Yea Jim, I haven't broken this Commanche in yet, so I'd be MORE than willing. Do you suppose he got rid of the ventilated hat? I'll bet he didn't wear that around his WV buddies, if he did he wouldn't tell them what REALLY happened, right?

No I have'nt seen him wear that special hat here in W. V. as a matter of fact Ed we went running tonight and he was still bitchen about that being his favorite hat. I'll bet you he might have one just like it this November :angryfire: . What do you think about that Pingley. :?: :chef:

Nice hare there Brad. Is that Blue-Kote on that dogs leg? If so, it's good stuff!

JCole,

It is possible that Ed may end up with one like that next fall. I wold caution you that if the opportunity presents itself, you may have one before the end of the month! LOL

Steve,

Yes it is blue coat. I like to use it on minor scratches and abrasions. The snow has been deep and crusty up this way and the dogs feet are starting to get a little sore.
