Will Your Dogs Run A House Cat???

First off we are getting the snow and ice storm in WV so I am stuck in the house and bored.
All in all, one of the best runs we ever had was a house cat. I received a phone call from a guy that had heard what good dogs Don had. He wanted Don to take a look at his pup to help him get started and/or give him advice. So, we ended up driving to his place. Within minutes on the property, we had a chase. Immediately the guy starts bragging on Don's dogs, saying he had never seen dogs run like that in all of his years watching dogs. Of course Don is proud. I decided to cut the dogs off so I could see them coming over the hill while Don entertained the guy. To my surprise, here comes this huge black cat. At this point the dogs had been running about 10 min. and never had a check. I headed back around the hill to let Don know exactly what was going on. (Luckily, the guy was in his 70's and couldn't keep up with the dogs.) I didn't get the chance to tell Don about the cat because by this time the dogs were on their way back as if they just put a rabbit in the hole. The old guy continued bragging on the dogs all the way back to his house. Don of course let his head swell, thinking what a nice run the dogs just had. As we were leaving, I was telling Don about the cat and he started laughing. I bet the old guy had to be wondering what was so funny.
I will save the story of Don making the winners pack by running a turkey.
