I like that pedigree. How does he run and what are the pups like that he throws

I haven't been able to run him this winter, because I had ankle fusion surgery. Soon I'll be off crutches and in a walking caste. So far his pups have proven to be above average rabbit dogs. Charlie is 6 1/2 years old. Casey died around the time when he was born. Rosebud was 9 and died when he was 4 weeks old.

Ive seen Buddy run he is a hard hitting Very fast dog that gets wide in the check.

I hear Shooter is hard hunting, close in the check, and excellent nose ,so just according to what you are trying to get.

Do you want the odds stacked for 13'' dogs or 15'' dogs?

Are you looking for barn burner speed / wider check area dogs or med speed with line control, and a ton of nose?

Fom what I know of Shooter & Buddy's Spirit these dogs have pretty different running styles. So just thinking of what type of dog you like should make the decision easy.

Birmi brings up a good point but I think what we all want is a huge snow dog nose with gears that allow it to get up to that barn burner speed when conditions allow for it. Also a dog that starts tight on a check but doesn't waste any time going wide when it can't be picked up tight. Then you must throw in the proper use of the mouth. Del, when you get that all worked out count me in. Stan, don't forget im'e first in line on that Misty X Shooter cross. As for myself I have the snowdog bitch but like Del I am troubled by all the quality stud dogs out there. Good luck to all !

Del....i am no expert, but as it has been stated, shooter will give you the bigger nose for snow conditions, possibly more line control. you could get some 13 in pups. not as mich foot as the bly sly, or paycheck-schnapps line... i, personally, run dogs from the lake ogemaw and blu sly lines. i like the search and speed. endless bottom. i run cottontail and hare both. i do not know alot about your female, but considering her bloodline and accomplishments, i would be very interested in a pup--if you breed to Blu Slys Buddy Spirit.

Shooter goes back to FC. Birch lake Mic on the bitch side of his pedigree. I'm a fan of him and his offspring he has running on the ground today. But, like one said.. it all depends on what you are looking for. I see someone said Trails. Not a bad choice either. I don't know much about the other dog you speak of but I do recognize the pedigree on Charlie very nicely bred. Shooter will produce big if bred to big and small to small bitches. There is alot of big and small out of him and doing very well. Dave

You also have Brankos Cougar Magnum that is still in Michigan and is throwing good pups.
Cougar is not getting any younger and is heading to Brankos place this spring sometime. He was 2nd producer last two years, with very few breedings.
