I'm no expert on these bloodlines but have had a few examples and talked with Joe Parrino (Hunt's Creek Kennels) at length many times. These lines are known for extreme nose, control and stamina. Speed would be about average for hare hounds. Some of the Eaton Brook lines had a bit too much mouth for some. Joe had good luck crossing them on Haunted Hill Shaker. I liked what I saw off Hunt's Creek Ben. Not flashy field trial dogs so much as honest, reliable, hard-working hunting dogs.

I have a dog off of Hunts Creek Ben and Wabasso's Smidgen that was bred by Joe Parrino. He is not super fast, just a good steady hound with a lot of nose, hunt and stamina. He was a little rough when he was younger, now he will run the same rabbit all day long even if the other dogs quit and find another track. I hunt hare all winter in Minnesota regardless of the weather and I don't leave this dog behind very often and never when conditions are bad.
