stupid question

Post by kodiac »

My 9 month old pup is in heat and penned up in the backyard with my neutered lab and my older female beagle. My wife hollered at me and said the lab and your pup are stuck. Sure enough, i look out back and my lab and my pup are stuck. I had my lab fixed when he was a pup and he has never showed any romantic interest in another female. Anyone else ever had a fixed dog try and breed a female and get knotted?

Yes, I had this happen once, years ago, with an older male beagle & a younger female. I had the male fixed because I didn't want him breeding the young female. I found them tied a couple of months later. I called the Vet & was told that this was fairly common; that the old male still had the urge, but that he couldn't impregnate the female. The Vet was right: no puppies.

A buddy of mine moved a female in the pen that was in heat with a male that was fixed and by the time we got from the pen to the porch they were locked up.
This was funny as heck. My friend freaked out laughing saying ....What should i do???????

I told him to let the hound have his fun, he was just shooting blanks anyway

We joked about that for weeks

Yep the hammer always cocked but there are no powder in the cartridges.
