7 months old starting

Post by Bdog »

I have two 7 mo olds male and female!
They both hunt and smell with the older dogs. The female has jumped 4- rabbits and is starting to open with a little squal mouth. THe male will take off with the pack and bark as he runs with them, but comes back to me after a little running. The female will come back after a little longer, but runs and barks with the other three dogs!

What should I do about the male he doesn't seem to get it! He is the most inmature of the two and is just a big ole baby!

I know he will come around with time, but I don't know just what to do except to keep putting him out with his sister and the pack for right now1

Any advise will be appreciated!

Merry Christmas

just keep feeding him tracks, that little light in his head will turn on. Females mature faster than their male counterparts. Don't let up on the female either, every dog will have their day, so don't loose your cool with the pups... I would also solo both pups by themselves. If you run the pups with older dogs, they might get burned up. Meaning that they get so far behind the older dogs, that they give up. I would put some solo time into the pups for a while. When they can run their own rabbit, pair them up...after that put them back in the pack....

Good luck...
