Just curiuos to know who owns or knows who owns hounds with both titles? Don't get me wrong i'm not one who breeds only to hounds with titles, i still want to see with my own eyes on how a hound runs but this accomplishment sure does draw my attention.Congrats to all that's done it!!!!

Randy Hicks finished his dog Hickster's Intimidator to LP Champion and AKC FC in the midwest style.
Nice hound. Hopefully, I will be hunting over him soon. ;)

Syris never made grand in ARHA. He was trialed by someone else in ARHA according to Rick G.

I think i know a little on Sy since Rick G is a great friend of mine.Everything i have now goes back to him in one way or another and couldn't be happier!! Will be looking to make an outcross in the next year or so, just starting to come up with a list of hounds to keep an eye on. I feel like a head coach out recruiting for the next upcoming class.

I think mark brown "ohio" did this with that driver male he had, pretty sure. this hound could really get after a rabbit and mark could go to all the trials. this was back n the 1999 maybe 2000. my tim hound he made a lprch won one champion class I got tired of trialing and went hunting, instead of messing with trials. god only knows what i could had won with this hound?

No doubt about the Monster of the Midways ability. I have a couple of Syris hounds myself. I love to hear Rick tell stories agout the good old days. If you ever get the chance ask Rick about the break out and the sweet feed story at the AKC nationals. Steve do you still have the Magic dog ?

Steve I have heard from some Beaglers that Turbo/Syris crosses have produced nicely. The Reggie or Thunder hounds that are around could produce some Beasts and add a little color to your pups. They both are at least lprch and akc fc and both may be grands. I have not seen either run personaly, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express before :D . Jimmies Junie dog is bred like I like em. He would certainly add some true grit to anything. The Chester bred dogs that I own and run with seem to have plenty of foot and will give up their bodies to run the rabbit.

Something else to think about. How many ARHA LP World Champions have also became a FC? I know of 4.

Missie, Junie, Reggie, and Scooter

It takes a special dog to be able to do both. I've ran with all these dogs and I can see why they have attained what they have.

i agree it takes a great hound too do both....ol ringer got second at the world last year and has had some success in akc but i would say my trialing is over for a while ...would have loved to made a run at his akc fc title but he wouldnt know either way..i'll just gun his lil butt this year and have some fun..maybe someday we will all get out of the poor house and be able to trial some more..lol...congrats to all you guys that have accomplished this you got some gooduns

I know this is off thread abit but there was previosly some mention about Syris,Reggie and Thunder dogs.
I have a young female a year and a half old that is Reggie x line bred top and bottom Syris that is making a very special hound. Also have a two and a half year old female that is Thunder Blue x Branko's Sassy Susie that also gets the job done right.
