Can someone expand on Drummond island for me? It sounds like every other poster goes up there at some point in the season. Is it that good for hare? Is hare the only thing you can hunt there? is hare to Drummond isl. what walleye are to Lake Erie?

Just curious. I may want to go sometime.

Thanks

You can do many things on the Island. I've been going there for 41 years. My parents took me there when I was ten and I spent most of my summers on the Island. You can fish for Yellow Perch,Walleye,Northern Pike,Cisco (Lake Herring) Salmon, Lake Trout and Bass. There are Ducks, Deer,Bear,Hare, and Partridge to hunt and Wolves to avoid. The Islanders are friendly. It's just a great place to go. My wife say's that I'm a different person when I come home from there. I tell her thats it's a special kind of medicine that no doctor can prescribe.

I understand that Jim Smith and friends are heading there on Sunday. They are hoping for good runs. Hope them all well. KC
