my dogs do real good on the joy i have fed it for several years n its close n they always have it since their a distributor for joy i get mine at chiltons mkt. i feed the high energy in the winter time n special meal in summer time they also have a good puppy feed too i have fed the red flannell a few times not enuf to really say one way or the other dogs ate it good jb

can get diamond but not black gold. anybody feed sportmix.

I would highly recommend Sportmix 24/20. I run every day in the summer, and usually at least 5 days a week the rest of the year. I run dogs in the toughest areas I can find include large, steep clearcuts, big pine thickets, and swamps in the UP. I have tried Black Gold, High Pro, Joy, Pride, Diamond, and a couple of other brands. Sportsmix is the only one that dogs can maintain their weight and energy.

On High Pro dogs lost their drive and energy after 3-4 days of hard running in a row.

On Black Gold I kept feeding more and more to maintain weight, which led to too much waste, and dogs eating more than they could fully digest, and decreased drive.

On Joy, they couldn't sustain energy, and their coats got rough.

I fed Diamond until the big scare, and then they changed the ingredients, and the performance dropped a ton.

I know people who feed all of these brands with good success. In my opinion though, if you run every day, Sportmix will give your dogs the energy they need to be successful.

I was feeding Sportmix for about 8yrs then around 6months or so ago I went to 24/20 Pride in the dark green bag and I really like the results. In Sportmix I was feeding 24/20 also.

im feeding the joy special meal right now its in the green n yellow bag i dont run like jcm does i have never tried the sportmix but would try it if its that good jb
