Dog Bedding ???

I use straw and cedar shavings for my dogs and it seems to serve the purpose well BUT would it be harmful to add a small amount of sevin dust to the bedding to control any pesky bugs??? What do you guys and gals use. I also use 35 gal. barrels as houses.

No it doesn't hurt to use seven dust in their bedding. I use cedar myself too, I use to use straw, but after a costly vet visit from infected eyes on the dogs from mold spores that you couldn't see, I use only cedar.

I always use Sevin dust in with the straw and cedar. Never had a flea problem. I also sprinkle it on the sides and floors of my kennel boxes.
