well we all know the price of dog food like everything else keeps going up so i thought id share some information for the people that feed dog chow. right now the average price around here is about $19 a bag. well the ol roy krunchy bits and bones in the yellow bag is made by purina the price on it is about $14 a bag around here. now the only real difference is that the ol roy one doesn't have the chicken but on the positive side it has less grain in it than the dog chow formula and its soy free. ive been feeding a couple of my dogs it for the past month before i got on here and made this post and really i don't see any differecne there still doing good on the same amount and the stool is the same and everything looks good. now even with the purina points and checks the ol roy is still cheaper. also the ol roy lamb and rice formula is made by purina to but its gone out the roof her in price at $19 for a 40lb bag. just thught id share this some of you guys might wana give it a try.

i wish it was still that cheap here its geting crazy when you go to these feed mills and these little off brands youve never heard of are $20 or more a bag. i remeber about 10 or 12yrs ago buying an off brand called excallaber i don't think i spelled that right but anyways i bought it for $7.50 a 40lb bag in bulk 10 + bags but my dogs did better on that than any other ive feed sence. i was told awhile back that that company was bought out or something and now calls there feed turbo i ran across this once in tn and bought up some but the dogs didnt' like it. but i can always say ive pretty much always had good luck with purina and the dogs don't complain lol.

Xcaliber is still being made. It is distributed locally here by Bartlett Milling out of Statesville, NC. But it is high. About $32 a bag.
