carhartt's

Post by wabbit wunner »

Can anyone tell me where I can order some more carhartt bib overall's I had my buddy to get my last pair from louisiana, but they are wore out and down here in the south we tend to have a FEW briars I have tried other pairs but none seem to do it like my old carhartt's. I can't seem to find them nowhere.

Rural King carries them. Factory just up the road from me. Got an outlet store in Madisonville, KY. They can't be beat. I have bibs, coveralls, jackets. Tried the cheaper brands, duck head, etc. NO comparison. Got Samlyn to buy a pair when she came to ky for those cold days in NH.

There is a carhartt outlet in Glasgow Ky also but may be too far to travel from Alabama. I get a catalog in the mail every month from Sierra Trading Post that has good prices on their stuff. Lots of seconds but if you dont mind a stitch slightly off or the hammer loop upside down then they are no different other than about half the price the are in a department store, even after shipping. If you know what size you need go to seirratradingpost.com and check them out. I have ordered from them in the past and they have great service. Had to exchange some shoes (wrong size) and no hassle or problems whatsoever. Check'em out.

Go to Wick Outdoor Works, they have them, also they have some all nylon overalls that are good. I am thinking of buying their briar chaps that can slip over my jeans.

Carhart's has discontinued their Nylon Faced bibs , they haven't made them for a couple of years now .......

I bought a pair made by the Pointer Brand Company out of a Happy Jack Dog Supply Catalog , they are the closest thing you'll find to the old Carhart ones with the brown duck material & 1000 Dupont Cordura on the face of the legs .......

They cost around $65.00 per pair , they have the Brass Zippers up the side of the legs, shell loops on the front , plus they come with a detachable gamebag at no extra charge ......

I like these better than the Carhart ones ......I've worn out two pairs of the Carhart ones in the last ten years , these ones by Pointer Brand seem to hold up better and are stiched much better ......

Carrhart stopped making hunting clothes about 3 yrs ago.I was ticked
I like the stuff they made(hunting gear). Wick's Outdoors is next in line
with me.I have both chap's and Bibs they are tough and waterproof
just alittle hot in mild weather.

I do not know where Ranburne is, but Cullman Alabama has a Tractor Supply just at the edge of the city coming fron the Hanceville side on old 31.

Ther are a distributer for Carharts and had a lot of clothes the last time I went in. They had the bibs with the nylon fronts like you want marked way down.

Hi Wabbit hunter, Ive worked at Carhartt for 5 and a half years and have asked alot about when they are going to start making the hunting clothes again and they dont plan to do so :( :( I wish they would start again. The double kneed bromn duck bibs seem to work pretty good in the briars. You can get our clothes at just about any sears, jc penneys, bass pro shops, cabellas, dick sporting goods, tsc, rural king.
