On March 18, lightning struck her trailer at 4:00am and it caught on fire. It was only by the hand of God that she woke up in time to get out. She had no insurance and lost everything.
Today our beagle club, neighbors, and friends and family held a fundraising dinner and silent auction to raise money for her a new home. We had several beaglers from other clubs that donated money and some of our own sold puppies and donated the money from the sales to her.
We raised $4,000 today.

I told her the morning that we stood and watched the firefighters trying to save her home, that God would make a way and she lived in a small town that helped to take care of its own. I am proud to say that today my community proved me right.
