Hey Keinan,
How are those two big Patch hounds you got from Superior Patch Kennels. They sure looked good in your kennel and since you did not run them on our big hunt, I wanted to see if they ran as good as they look. I know you drove over 800 miles round trip to pick them up.

Well Cedrick,
once upon a time you could buy a hound from superior patch kennels and you knew you had a rabbit dog

I'm so glad you did not try and sell them to a person to try and get your money back. I know you are a man of your word and would not even give away trash. Good job for culling them it seems those $6.00 collars were worth more than those hounds. I thought Dennis gave enough trial with his hounds? What happened with that? I guess you could have donated that money to the Red Cross at least you would have gotten at tax write off. (LOL) Did You call Dennis before you wasted two 45 cal bullets. I hate these hounds did not work. I'm glad you cut your loses. With your pack it would take a monster pack of hounds to out do them so I know your standards are high on hounds. I guess you should breed to get your pups from the pack you have.

I've never, ever heard a bad word about Dennis Goad or his hounds. I've also heard a bit of Dennis' side of this, and I'm going to have to cry foul. Why you wouldn't ask Dennis to buy back the dogs, I'll never know. Clearly you knew the value of that blood or you wouldn't have invested the 1400$. Anybody that gives 1000$ worth of hounds 3 months and then shoots them like they're some piece of broken down equipment isn't much of a houndsman. You and mrbazile could have discussed this with PMs, but you clearly chose to run the man down on a public forum, so take your lumps. Like your dumbass buddy said, "good job for culling them".

Back in 2004 I bought a 9 month old male and a 1 year old female from Dennis. I drove all the way to OK. from WI to watch two males run. The one male is my Hammer dog which I bought and the other male actually bit me when I tried to load it up after running with Dennis. Needless to say I wasn't interested in the one named Rattler (appropriately named I must say). I ended up buying a female instead, Dennis told me that if I wasn't happy with them he would drive to WI himself to buy them back. Two or three weeks later a man from out east called and asked me about the Rattler dog, and I warned him not to make the trip for that particular dog. Well after the hunting season when I called him to tell him no one would be able to afford Hammer but the female was shy and could not run a rabbit yet (this is after 6 to 8 months of running almost everyday, which I had kept in contact with him), He told me that if I wanted to bring her back to OK. he would give me a puppy. I asked him what about the statement of him coming to WI., and he said no. I decided that it wasn't worth the long trip and fuel costs, so I gave her one more year and found she could run on sod in the summer, but could not run in the WI winter so I eventually culled her. I also have a friend who bought two pups from Dennis and is very happy with them. Ater all this I have the opinion that Dennis does have some good hounds, but not neccasarily a man of his word, that tries to sell his culls. Go see them run before you buy from him is my advice.
