OMG, what a SICK attempt by the ARs to put the spotlight back on their precious "mutts"
Funny, but my mix breed dog has been nothing but a nightmare of immune system problems ...

This is one of the biggest bunches of crap I have read.

I always supported PETA and the way they try to help animals, but now. I always understood that the purpose of responsible breeding was to breed out defects and disease. How come there isn't any controlled breeding in people? There is disease and defects runing rampid and it costs all of us. Aren't dogs and cats, for that matter, flesh and blood? I agree that it is the money hungry and those that are just stupid for allowing the oversurplus of animals when animals are not fixed and allowed to just breed. Most of them raise there offspring the same way. I thought God gave us brains and the power of reasoning to make the world better for all, not for self gratification. I have both pound dogs and purebreds. You all are guiding me on training the purebreds to do what they do best, hunt. I realize that confirmation is part of that ability. People get diseases and die and some of the problems are genetic, just like in dogs. I am glad that there is technology and advancements in veterarian medicine to help the dogs (and the people). Why does someone always have to take something as great as Uno's win and ruin it with disgusting information like this? Beagles are the greatest and this forum shows that. I say let's take Uno and his new found fame and celebrate it. Go Uno Go!!! (PS I will comment on the upcoming everyone has to have a beagle disater later.)

Best thing for PeTa is that they become cannibalistic and start eating their own. The only thing positive about them is that they are equal opportunity haters, they hate everyone and everything. Think about this. If Peta had been around in the lifetime of Abraham of Genesis, they would have turned the ram loose and killed Isaac.

Please tell me that you don't really support PETA.

Peta would love to do away with hunting and us eating meat they are fanatics and I am just as nuts about telling them to

why even vist there site? I have a 12 year old hound that still gets down and dirty and runs the rabbits and gets them out of the brush piles he's strong and has a ton of hunt left in him maybe I should teach him to run petas!

harvhounds, won't do him no good to run Petas, they are so tender they fall right through the grill when you try to cook 'em. They are too tenderfooted to run anyway, when a hound jumps one they just roll into a ball and start whining.

They not only hate us rabbit hunters but they also would like
to cause people like Leah to never be allowed to own or
"""abuse""" yeah right !!! thier pets or even allow us to own
a beagle period . That's one good reason why NONE of us
should ever put down a show breeder and the show breeders
should do us the same . We need each other !!! I think some
of these peta people would be happier if animals didn't exist .
Although Leah and myself have had some childish arguments
and she was wrong
J/K , I'm proud to have her company
here on this web site .
Congradulations once again to Leah and UNO
subject to change with our next argument .

I finally had time to finish reading the article. To me it just in another persons very similar view to what I said in the bellow post on December 17, 2007.
http://americanbeagler.huntingboards.co ... 17&t=34565
My theory is, "you have to know where the enemy is coming from so you can set up a good defense and defeat them". If you don’t know what they’re founded on, you cannot appropriately speak out against them. You also cannot explain how what they’re doing is wrong, or the negative effects of what they’re doing. You have to prove you case.
I really feel people need to know all sides. Then they can see just how warped the enemy is.

Let me clarify: I am not in direct support of PETA. Only in the sense of preventing abusing animals and in their support of condemming unresponsible owners who do not spay or neuter and fill the pounds and kick the unwanted animals to the streets. The fact that they don't support hunting and that they are major right-wingers disgusts me since they do more harm than good. The upcoming beagle boom and the backyard bredders that will get rich while the breed suffers is what I am against and if PETA does support this, then I will agree with them. Their platform is
suppose to be for the good of animals and preventing abuse. Hunting is not abuse. (It can be when the wrong kind of people are involved) but is not normally considered abuse. I don't know many hunters that shoot to wound and are happy with that. I guess the more I think about it, PETA has gone so far off the deep end that I really don't support them. I do support any organization that protects critters. Remember a while back when someone wrote in about the beagle that was skinned alive in AL(?). To this day it still bothers me. When you all talk about culling puppies, my heart hurts. I would love to be able to take in all those who don't make the grade. Unfortunely, I can't afford it and our bed isn't big enough. Beagles take up a lot of room when they sleep.LOL. I have three pound puppies and had a runt. Three of our horses were abused. I guess I am just a softy and have more desire to help the abused and unwanted than I have finances. I want to believe that all of you beaglers are aginst abuse and do the best that can be for your babies. Like I have said before, I am new to the trialing/hunting with beagles. Had beagles all my life and my dad hunted in upstate New York. I feel priviledged being invovled with all of you. Now back to Uno and all our beagles that, according to this article, have been condemmed to death...Here's to the idiot in PETA who wrote the article:

ANy day spent with a beagle is a good day. The beagle I grew up with put four teenage girls thorugh puberty in the seventies and lived to be sixteen (must have been the pot LOL). Beagles are forever!!LET UNO REIGN!!

I assume you meant to write that they are major left-wingers LOL!
In all reality PETA is nothing more than a terrorist organization, they do not believe dogs should even be owned as pets let alone bred. Bottomline: they are nuckin futs!

I totally agree. The more I look into it the worse they become. Sorry, I don't know my left from my right. I do know Beagles rule. Any poointers for starting a ten month old when there aren't any rabbits?

go buy a tame rabbit from a back yard breeder or at the local swap meet/flea market. I think that you can get them for about $10-$15 each. Grab a couple and let it go in front of your pup. Let him chase it down and try to get it away from him before he eats it. Once he catches on and starts barking as he starts running, then let the rabbit out in the yard to get some exercise and then bring out your pup and let him try and find the rabbit via his nose. You can even pick up the rabbit before the dog comes out and put a hotdog at that spot as a reward for your dog finding it. Using the nose it what you want your dog to do.

P.S. I support PETA too, People Eating Tasty Animals!

That was a pretty comical article. We all know certain dogs are and our families are predisposed to certain hereditary health problems. I suggest we find out what problems the idiot who wrote that post has in his family and stop them from breeding! Lol
