Cat Bait?

Post by HarleyPA »

Anybody have any luck trapping cats?

What have you used for bait?

I have a couple that I need to relocate, but I don't see them enough to get the job done.

Or tuna fish works good on cats, possoms and coons then break out the lead.

If you hang a piece of ribbon or feather in the box trap so that it can flutter this will help as cats use their sight more than smell to hunt.

Ill agree on the Sardines. When we lived on the mountain my Sister in-law would haul em in as fast as we could trap them out. Sardines worked great, but you will catch a few coons and possums.

.
I've used everything from chicken nuggets to noodles . If it's eatable the cats
seem to go for it . A live trap with the food laid outside the front just a tad
and then spread amongst the inside should do it the first time every time .

Goodluck,
Buddy

ps. If you put your garbage outside set the trap around the cans ;) .

Don't have to get to creative...I use dog food or some scrap chicken bones.

Take a hot dog & split it & pour a goody powder down the seam. It will kill a cat dead.
They have a high heart rate & the goodies makes them go into arrest.
