west virginia hunters?

Post by sem »

Just wondering how everone's season has been so far this year. How many rabbits are you guys running, jumping, shooting(at), do you hunt private land, public land, strip mines, ect...
For me it's not many rabbits jumped, the running is good if we can fimd them to run. I hunt on public land and really don't have any private land to run on. hope it gets a little better.

We have killed some and missed a few. I hunt public and private land. Most of the private land I hunt are pretty decent spots. A buddy of mine I went to high school with lets me hunt on his place. I started hunting it 3 years ago and there was alot of rabbits but this year they were hard to find. He had bulldozed alot of the brush in the spring and it really seemed to hurt the rabbits. Nothing I can do though he owns it. LOL

I would like to hunt some of the Wesvaco properties. I believe there is alot of Wesvaco land in Roane and Wirt counties. It would be about a 1 to 2 hour drive for me but I have heard they are loaded with rabbits. I would rather go out and jump 15 to 20 rabbits and kill 2 of them then go out and jump 3 and kill all 3 of them. I think all of the Wesvaco land is leased out to hunting clubs. Do any of you guys and gals belong to these hunting clubs and if you do how much are dues and how do I join?

Jeremy have Dale yell at me and we'll go sometime soon. Me and Dale have tried to get together but always something coming up and haven't been able too yet. I may have to take a vacation day to go one more time.
The Crank's may not have it all together, but when we're together we have it all....

The last couple of weeks have been tough for me. The ground has been so frozen and the frost so thick that we would jump them and the dogs just couldn't run the track. Got a nice fresh snow last night hopefully get a little more fresh tonight. We are putting on a youth hunt for our kids at church tomorrow morning. I hope the running is good.
If you were on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?
