One less rabbit eater!!!!!!!!!
Gave the dogs the day off and went coyote hunting. There is one less male coyote running around to eat rabbits and cause problems with the dogs. Yahoo!!!!!!

Re: One less rabbit eater!!!!!!!!!
Got a Foxpro Scorpion caller yesterday, so went hunting today. Nothing on the first 2 stands, then going to the next stand thru a hay field and see 2. The first went in the fence row, so I shot the 2nd one. It flopped and made noise then ran to the woods and I found it 100 yards away, dead in a tree top. The other one didn't stop until it was 500-600 yards away, so it got away. It was facing straight at me 150 yards away and hit it on the right half with 223, Nosler ballistic tip, 55 gr, from a Bushmaster AR 15. Made a nice exit hole. Sorry, no photos.

I have a Colt Ar-15 HBAR Competition I need to get a new flat-top upper so I can mount a scope and yote hunt with it. May be OK with iron sights?? For now I will use my Remington 700 LTR in .223 toppped with 12X Leupold.
Sounds like you had a nice hunt. What part of Ohio are you from?

I thought about putting a scope on a base attached to the handguard. Who makes a quality base? Don't mess with anything that is not rock solid. Still want an air guaged match SS bull barrel flat top upper from Bill Wilson. Someday.Spencer wrote:My yote killer!

Leupold scopes are great but for the working man, one cant beat a Bushnell 3200 or 4200 Elite (formerly Basch & Laumb). Still not cheap but great quality for 2/3's of the cost of Leupold and sometimes 1/2. These Elites are tested with 1000's of rounds of .375 H&H. Excellent glass to boot.
I have about 7 varmit rigs and still need a few more.

Plan to go rabbit hunting your way soon. If Duke gets off the dime that is.Bryan wrote:I am near Marion. Forget the sloppy joes, how about coyote jerky?

What kind of hounds do you run? Bloodlines, speed, drive, etc.
Maybe we could hook up. I will run with anyone. Even TBrabbitman.
