I got my renewal notice and for the amount to get my kennel tags for 2008 is $80.00
and $16.00 for the yellow lab total $96.00. The kicker is at the bottom of my renewal form
it say's that the registration fee for 2008 $16.00 per tag and $32.00 per kennel so I call
the auditors office and the lady tells me it is a misprint So I ask her what is the advantage
of having the kennel tag when it's all said and done the tags are $16.00 a pop per dog.
And I forgot to mention that kennel tags went up $20.00 from last year!
The lady at the auditors office tells me that they are cracking down on the puppy mills
trying to discourage them from selling so many pups. I don't think this is the way to handle puppy mills
I'm sure they don't have a problem coming up with the cash I say find the puppy mill and shut it down
and leave the small kennel guys like me alone that don't breed for the money.
So I quess I'll go pay my $96.00 dogs tags so I am legal if not they double after Jan. 31st.
What do you guys have to pay for Kennel tags or just dog tags?

18 for adult, 10 for puppys, and 50 if the hound didnt have lince on from the year before. it's hard to take, but the tickets are way out of control.

Shiawassee County you pay $10 for the kennel license and $30 for the kennel inspection. This is good for up to 10 dogs. That is what it has been. They are good til the end of May, so I don't know if there will be an increase.
