Well Most of you know i am not able to run dogs that much anymore but try to when I can. yesterday went and ran. Came within a hair of culling every dog I owned. Just was not a good day. Today I went begrudgingly thinking of about 2 dozen reasons why not to go. Those same dogs that I was embarrassed to call mine yesterday looked like a million dollars today. I got to see most of the races and they just did a bang up job. Made me proud to own them and made me remember why I still buy feed for them. Dang dogs. I thought it was a great way to end the Year.

Will, We finished up with a Bang in VA too. Once Friday 3 of us were looking at each other shaking our heads. It was ugly at the start of races, then after a little ways they got better.

I took a 10 month old pup out solo yesterday, he jumped his first rabbit (his fourth time on snow) and I saw the hare, he wasn't 20 yards behind it, he couldn't straighten it out and lost it right in front of me, I was not happy, after walking him around for awhile I thought the heck with it I'll go home and watch some football, he jumped one on the way back to the truck and 8 1/2 hours later, right at dark I put him in the box, he got extra kibble when we got home. Go figure. Hare

I know what you mean. I hope mine dont take a day off on me coming up, as I have been called out by another local beagler in a week or so. He told me to bring 3 of my best to go against 3 of his. I hope they show up like they normally do and I will come out shining!! :D

fellows there is one thing to remember no matter how good they are one
day or how many titles are infront of their names or in the ped every day
they wake up their still a dog some days they shine somedays we whine
if they did something wrong around some guys that i run with they will
cull dogs and you. when you get to where you think youve got perfect
hounds then you need a serious reality check. if parents culled the kids
they would be a serious shortage of beaglers in my area     ;) ;) :angryfire: :!: :!:
