AKC just wants the money. Call them and they will send you a form or check the AKC site for a form. You will probably have to pay for both transfers but it shouldn't be a big deal.

TC is correct, it's supplemental transfer that you need along with the registration papers.
Who ever the signed the registration papers, that is the person you need to sign the supplemental transfer as well.

Just register it over the internet and all you won't need to worry about it....That will save you money on the supplemental papers.

If you know the guy who is listed as owner on the papers and I'm assuming this is a registration certificate not a puppy paper then just have him write to akc and tell them he lost the papers and they send him a new one and he can sign them to you. I do also think a supplimental transfer should work too if the 2nd owner has signed the back of the registration off.

Exactly what is it you have? Is the dog named? Or do you have puppy papers where you choose a name?

Why don't you go to the akc.org site, decide what you have then follow their instruction?

I have white it out before but you are taking a chance of AKC rejected it. You need to get a hold of the guy you bought her off of. If you use the saupplemental paper it is on AKC website ,just run a copy off and get him to sign it .The first guy probably can' do anything.
