I have never had any problems getting my Tritronics serviced. Now my Dogtras that are just 2 years old have decided to shut themselves off when I correct even with a full charge. I went to the Dogtra site and basically it said that if I don't have the original receipt I cant get them serviced. God only knows where that may have ended up. Has anybody ever gotten Dogtras serviced?

If you are looking to get them repaired (not under any warranty) try the collar clinic in Traverse City, MI.

I never had one that needed serviced mine are going on 7 years old and never a problem......
I did call them one time about purchasing batteries and was told where I could get them at the best price, they told me i could send them in to them and they would service and replace the batteries if needed. No Word about a receipt.

The place where you bought them may have copy of your receipt. You may be able to get a copy for Dogtra. It does not have to be the original, they just want proof of purchase for warranty work.

No answers from Dogtra yet. I have hated mine from day 1. They are not as dependable as the TT. So far their service dept seems to be as dependable as the collars...

Thanks Emery, I will try the collar clinic.

Tiff, I'm like TC... never had a problem with anything from Dogtra... and I have some I bought last century. I did call them once to ask about the charging routine, got some jerk who didn't want to be bothered. I've had a lot of trouble with Tritronics bark collars... I have 3 I would give away, while the Dogtra's just keep working. And Tritronics offered to fix them.... for what new ones would cost. They all eat up a $10 battery in about a week.

I was about to buy a set of Dogtra 1800's last week, but I ordered Tritronics Classic 70 EXP instead. I hope I will like them as much as my old G2 Classic 70 set, but I doubt it. I hear they can be buggy, so you bet I am saving my paperwork and sending in the warranty.

We own 3, 4 dog units and love them. We haven't had any problems with them at all. I think that both Tri-tronics and dogtra are comparable and the best around. If you send them in they will fix them and get them back to you pretty quick.

Love my dogtra. It doesn't matter if it is hill country, cloud day, or below zero just hold that button down and that signal will get to the dog. Don't know anything about the warranty service because I have never had a problem. There is not another brand name made I would trade mine for even if the others were new. I've heard the horror stories about the older Tri Tronics not working in cold weather but I don't know about the newer ones.

I've got a 4 dog unit from Dogtra and had some problems with it and it's also a little worn out right now, don't get the range it should, into it's third year of use. First problem I had with the system was under warranty and the repair service and turn around was outstanding. I will say their tech on the phone was a joke, just some secretary I think. When I call the garage I want to speak to the mechanic thats gonna work on my car and felt the same way in this instance but all I got was the routine at the front desk. Got a new Tritronics G2 Exp Trashbreaker and so far I like it, no problems, decent range and appears to hold up well in what most of you would consider ridiculously cold weather.
