went this morning with a buddy, hunted till 12, rainy time.
jumped 4, all went to the hole quick. Less rabbits in this area than last year. Also hunted another area with less rabbits than last year.
Seems harder to jump and wont run good, let's hear your opinions.

I hunted for seven hours on Saturday. My brother and I hunted the entire time and CT went home early. Anyway, We ran for three hours b4 I showed them two how to get into good shooting position. After that we took a break for 40 minutes and hunted the rest of the day only killing one more. We hunted a large piece of property and it was hard to kill rabbits.
Although, my brother had a great shot on the third rabbit, BUT he forgot to put a shell in the chamber. I told him it was hard to kill rabbits with fake bullets.

The dogs ran great. I was happy with two rabbits. I am ready for this weekend!

Great long runs up here. Today was some really good running. Fog, mist, overcast, and the ground was wet. Perfect conditions.

As far as rabbit hunting I haven't had any problems finding rabbits yet.

We have baby rabbits and it does seem harder to find rabbits this year. Our season starts on saturday and I plan on putting a few in my game bag.

We cant hunt until the 22nd but the running has not been good for me. Its really dry here. In the last week or two the dogs just cant keep it going. Its possible that its just my dogs that are the problem.

We have been having some pretty good running up here on the mountain. Our cull Patch hounds are doing really well. Just wished mine, Aces, and my dads shooting was more up to snuff
I'm sure Aces will back me on this.... I believe we would have better luck shooting at the brown blurs if we had wider shooting lanes   .
Me and my dad went Monday and had 7 or 8 good races and bagged four. Ol'Aces and I went this morning and had some real good races but only managed to bag one....

I have been out 3 times now. The first day we jumped 12 and killed 4. 4 or 5 of them went straight to a hole but the rest ran good. It has been really dry here in WV. The 2nd time I went out we jumped 3. 2 of them holed up fast but the 3rd ran good just couldn't get a shot. The 3rd time we jumped 9 and only got 2 of them. I wounded one and it got in a hole before me or the dogs could get to it. We have had a blast here in WV. It has rained about all week so the running should be good Saturday as long as the stay above ground. This will be the last weekend I will get to hunt for awhile because our deer season comes in Monday.

Went out last Saturday for the 1st and only time this season. Two hunters 8 veteran hounds and 1 pup. The dogs jumped 8 or 9 and ran them all. The first chase was the best and the last chase was the worst. Both rabbits ran to ground after taking the hounds on an outstanding run. The dogs jumped 8 or 9, Al and I killed a total of 4. Not bad for a pack of hounds that hadn't been run for a couple of months.

Went this past Saturday (opening day here) with my cousin & couple more boys, jumped 11 killed 5. Camera batteries were dead so no pictures.
Went today alone jumped 8 killed 4, batteries charged so picture attached.
Running is very sluggish for some reason, very tough to drive a rabbit, mostly dogs have to gear down & work it hard to circle a bunny. I watched 2 rabbits today pull double backs & run up leaning logs trying to get some heat off them. Some go straight to ground in less than 100 yds.
Strangest thing I have noticed this year so far is all rabbits killed exception of one have been does. I can never remember it being this ratio in the past, I have always killed majority bucks by a wide margin.
