Any beagler's from KY?? Newbie here...

hello My name is Brad Adkins and I live in eastern Ky. I have hunted beagles my whole life and have been into it heavy the last 5 years. Any others from my area? Great to be a part of a message board that promotes the best sport around.

Hi Brad I live in Wilmore,Ky but i grew up in morgan county. I have two pups that i,m taking to a starting pen tomorrow. maybe they will be ready this fall. email me and maybe we can run some later. Harold Holbrook

I'm not too far from you Brad, located near Crockett Ky, on Rt.172. I moved here from Johnson County a little over a year ago. I run a medium speed hound.

Wilmore is about 7 miles from Nicholasville and about 14 miles from Lexington. I Have a digital camcorder and pictures of the pups but haven,t figured out how to tranfer to the computer yet.I really need to learn how to tranfer pictures. I need to post a stud add for the sire of my pups as a favor to the guy i bought them from.

I just got back from taking the pups to the starting pen in barboursville. They will be there a week or two. turned them in the pen a few minutes while i was there. I seen five or six rabbits but the pups never saw them they were to distracted by about a dozen gunea fowl.they had them flying every where.
The owner of the pen set several box traps and will release them in front of the pups tomorrow. one pup opened up on something but pretty sure it was the gunea fowl.

Who over in Barbourville, KY is training your pups for you? I'm assuming you mean Knox County? If I'm wrong please enlighten me.

Ted Bennett has the starting pen. I bought the pups from Tommy Bays in Barboursville.

I live in Central Ky. near Harrodsburg, Ky I just took some pups to Versaills Ky. to Bill Bryants he has a starting pen and a finishing pen, his ad is on my site

Brad the pups started great the first morning he released a rabbit in front of them and they took right after it and ran it into the brush and they followed it and one pup opened on it. that evening they both opened and the next morning they jumped thier own rabbit and that evening they allmost circled one. 4 1/2 months old. I pick them up tomorrow and will get to see them run then and will get some current pictures then and contact your brother then and maybe i can send you some pictures then. I ordered a 8 generation pedigree on these pups and they have 56 field champs in the pedigree. I,m really pumped up about these pups.
