I told all my hunting buddies that I want 3 good circles before the shot. I'm looking to improve dogs. All of them are a year old or younger. My 7 month old dog who is a tight line control freak will be our go to dog to gun hunt over. Should be a fun year.

Looking forward to this season for many reasons. New hunting grounds, plenty of rabbits , nice young male and plenty of shells left over. Hope we can kill more than we did last year Rockytop . Can't wait for November 10 , opening day in Tennessee. :D

Looking fwd. to see the new upcoming pups work it and do their thang! Looking fwd. to banging a couple bunnies after running this summer. Come winter, my running is GUNNING! Well, unless I take a kid or camera :)

Kinda dread it myself. Reason , in my area all the rabbits will be killed off, making it hard to find em to just run dogs.
Older i get, the less i kill. Used to enjoy it a lot but would rather just run anymore.

I look forward to seeing my 2 young dogs run to the gun for the first time, IMO after that first rabbit is shot over them they always show a little more desire. Can't wait to get the older dogs out too, I love the excitement you see in them when you go out there with that gun to let them out of the kennel. They get excited when they see me coming with E-collars this time of year, but it's just not the same as when you go out with a gun. And of course I look forward to that first dish of rabbit stew!!!!!

I have finally put together a pack of hounds that will keep the rabbits going with fewer checks and longer runs. Should be some exciting times this season and I am looking forward to running with old friends as well as many new friends. Nothing better than rabbit hunting and it isn't the killing of every rabbit out there but rather a time to enjoy God's wonderful world in it's natural environment away from CNN, Fox News, phone calls, etc. and watch the hounds go for hours. Probably will only kill a few rabbits here and there but will be doing some serious running and packing my .410 Contender pistol.
Great time to reflect on what is important and drop a few pounds in the process. :D
I plan on making a trip to Kentucky this year to pick up a Ripper pup and will be meeting several guys from this forum. I am really looking forward to doing some running down in the Blue Grass State, time permitting. It will be nice to see a few of the hounds and put names with faces.

Getting my 8 yr. old son out for some father/son time is #1 priority. I have three young dogs that I am looking forward to finishing this season. And just being out with a gun in my hand listening to hounds run a rabbit. It always takes me back to some of my fondest memories and is great way to get away from the stress of work. Crisp frosty mornings with mother nature hard at work preparing for a long winter. It is a special time.
