patch
I have had 3 and liked them all. I sold one earlier in my days just because I couldnt train it right without a collar to break it off deer. I think one thing that has helped , for the most part, people who breed or have some line of patch dog are gun hunters. They have bypassed all the trialin, and fad paper breeding that goes on in so many other lines, and just bred for gun dogs of their liking.
the few i have run with are just good all around dogs a friend of mine runs a patch dog n he is just good n every way big big mouth plenty of speed good line control good hunt need i say more in the kennel he is as layed back as they come no barking i have a daughter from the patch dog n she is 18 mnths old n runs like a 3 or 4 y/o started at 5 months n never looked back so i like the patch blood my buddy has jb
.

I agree with SR Patch, Darrell's got about as good as you can get Patch wise, and he happens to be in PA. Pennsylvania has some of the best patch blood out there, I can get you some more info if you like, for the most part these guys do not trial but hunt their hounds HARD!!
