I'll try, But I'm by no means an expert or a very knolegabel beagler . All I can do is give you my opinion based on what i have seen over the last couple of years.
Brace dogs; these dogs were breed to the point where they could not or should nto make a mistake the end result is a dog that goes very slow to the point of not make any forward progress. therefore it doesn't make a mistake because it doesn't move forward on the line.
Gundog; mostely a step faster than the brace dog. but this will depend on the judges and where in the country the trial is the speed can very greatley.
SPO generally a dog that is judged based on acomplishment take more imprtance than style. therefore a dog that can vary from smokin a rannit to a dog than you can stay with at a trot. again this will be depedent on the judges and geographical area of the country that you live speeds can vary. sometimes based on the terain that the dogs are hunted on. and the style of dog willbe or should be dictated based on the needs of the hunter to most effectively harvest the rabbit. I hope this helps.
