Only running early mornings here. Like to get back home before it gets hot. My dogs are a lot like me--we prefer the cooler weather.

I been running at night. 8:30 to 11:00 or so. Ran from 8:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday. I always carry water with me though and give them a drink. Like to let them cool off in a creek or pond between jumps if possible.

I am running 2 or 3 afternoons after 7:30. It is so dry now I am having to carry water. One of the creeks where I run has completely dried up. I ran last Saturday with a buddy from 7 am til 9 am. The dogs run good in the cutovers or woods ,but the rabbits run the dusty logging roads to throw them off. One could not stand the pressure Saturday and ran out in a cracked baccah field and that race was over.

I'm running only after it rains. I'm working a couple of pups and some young ones from last year. It's humid, hot and dry. We had a nice storm on Sunday evening. Rain, thunder and lightening. It ran me out of the woods. I dropped them first light Monday morning. What a beautiful chase. I'm still hearing it. I'm waiting for the next storm, then I'll play side II.
