Dog box for trailer hitch

I am thinking about building a dog box that would hook onto the hitch on the back of my Jeep. Like a deer carrying rack.

Did anyone ever see anything like this or have one like this??

I am concerned about how smooth the ride would be for the dogs. I think it would be an awful rough ride.

If you have any pics please post them.

I wouldnt be near as worried about the ride as much as I would be keeping the exhaust gases out of the box.

I have seen a few and they are nice but everytime I see them I just cringe.

Chris, don't let 'em get close enough to ya to rear end ya!

I have one and never had a problem with it, but it would only take the one time.

I've used this one for a little over two years now. I don't have to travel very far to run my dogs - about a 35 minute trip. Never had a problem. Great to use in the warmer months and easy to clean. It can fit all five of my beagles with no problem.

I had one it worked great! When I got back into dogs, the wife and I had an explorer and she didn't care for the smell. I got a luggage carrirer for 50.00, built a dog box and she was happy! Just act like your towing one of those 50,000 bass boats and be cautious of other drivers. Good luck!
