Donnie has some very good hounds. He knows how to train them and gives them his all when it comes to running them and making sure his hounds are healthy. He has a kennel full of rabbit dogs. You forgot one though, where is Bruser

Good look'n hounds Donnie, of coarse you know what I'm partical too!!
I finally got some rain Friday evening and again Saturday night , ran Saturday for a few hours but didn't jump but 2 had about 2 good hours runn'n but Sunday morning turned out at about 5AM and had 6 hours non-stop run'n man it was great ! The area was thick in honeysuckle , blackberry, sawbriars and blow downs and full of rabbits. It's about 600 ac. and I'd say I may have covered 50,if it keeps raining some I'm going to do some nigt run'n through the week and hit it hard on the weekends I'm not working.Ole Hard Rocks sister was a superstar Sunday , she jumped 2 or 3 and grabbed several checks form the older hounds , she still likes to check back-in if she don't hear or see me but I can live with that. She just needs a good gun season behind her and I think she get to stay around.

Yeah i can't forget ol Bruser he is my new up and coming contender in the field. hehe

Bruser
Thanks all 4 the great comments i'm pretty proud of all of them alot of long days and hours in the field, but it's been worth it.

Thanks Tom for the comment, i got Bruser in there now.

Jude all are 14 to 14 3/4'' except for that great Patche he is 16" but i don't trial and he's got all i need in the field along with plenty of hunt and brains and i will take all the 16" i can get out of him with no problem.

Jumpdog1 glad to hear you had a good day of running and that work has backed down for awhile, glad to hear also that little lady hound is pouring it on, she is a great hound and like u said she just needs a good season under her belt and she will be dangerous on them bunnies. Keep her burning them up.

Ringtail believe it or not they are all pretty equal on the speed while running in a pack, they are always fighting to take over the chase and hold it, ain't that right clouset he watches them run alot, so the size is not a factor cause none will let no grass grow under there feet or they don't stay here long.As for Katie and Lightning, Katie is Lightning Mother if you didn't notice, she was cross out of my Major dog to produce him, they are both fine hounds. As for the owl on his hip it sure does look like 1 there don't it.Thanks

Cannonball how is your hound doing? i believe we have talked before or i've heard of about you haven a litter mate to Sadie, that little Bruser is Double bred Syris top and bottom and he is progressing really good for a pup, and smart also. i hope when i do my next cross they all turn out like he has so far. They will also be double bred top and bottom, seems to be a great cross from what i have seen.

My pup is doing really well. She uses correct mouth, seems to be on the faster side of fast and is really starting to pick her hunt up. I have been running her with Steve Morgans female which is a litter mate and they are about the same and the sound of their mouths are identical. When we ran after dark we couldn't tells his dog from mine...LOL

How is your pup coming along?

hey guys, glad to hear your pups are all doing and looking good. Donnie, I thought the wolves got ya! Your pack is looking good. Lets yell at each other soon. My pup from that cross is also doing great. He is showing me great things each time out and is giving Max a run for the money. For a year old he is very level headed and smart, with a awesome nose!
I'll be making the same cross (2nd breeding) this thursday. Sissy is now in heat and I cant wait to keep a female from this cross. Thanks to all for putting the first litter to the test, and thanks for all your feedback!

Cannonball she is doing good, plenty of foot, speed, & brains, she handles like a dream, but i've work with her sense i got her, she maybe small but very surprising in the field with the big hounds.Sadie is a good hound.

Hey Rick yeah i have kinda been busy these days, between keeping up the farm, working, and working the hounds i've got my hands full, not much time for computing. I will give ya a holler some time soon.
It's good to hear your making the cross again and might take a male but i believe i have found my next Major pup i've been looking for from a friend of mine in Oklahoma with this Bruser pup he is without a dought one of the best pups i have ever owned and he give him to me to keep the Syris blood cranking, ya can't beat a guy like that, so i think i got all the Syris crosses i can do for the rest of my life and a good part of my boy's.
Good to hear from you and keep in touch.

Like I said before, Donnie has a kennel full of good rabbit dogs. They do run to get the rabbit, and have really good line control and hunt. When he drops the tailgate its time to get serious. He breeds his dogs to better his kennel not to make a killing off of puppies. Keep em running Donnie. Tom

Thanks Tom for the comment, i am pretty proud of my hounds like most beaglers, but i really put alot of time in them along with patients, i do expect them to perform while in the field which i guess it's starting to really produce some hounds that suits me. As for the puppy meal no i'm pretty selective on the cross when i do one and i haven't sold a pup n over 2 years, so no puppies being sold here for profit, just for performance for my own use until i produce the best hound i can.
Thanks again to all for the great comment & PM's .
