I was just wondering who all from Ohio (where in Ohio) on here have and breed the Northwaw line of hounds? I just wanted to see what dogs are around Ohio that have alot of old school northway up close in them. Me personaly have really gotten to like this line of hounds. I would just like to know if they're any dogs around that I might be able to breed to down the road.

I have a Iron Eagle and Reffetts male. He is a really nice 15'' male with extreme hunt, great jumping ability, good speed, and a very very clean running hound. He runs alot of rabbit. Not meaning to brag on this hound but agreeing with Danny that Iron Eagle and Northway make a great cross.

You don't have to look very far to find top notch Northway bred studs in Ohio. One of the nicest Northway hounds lives in Southern Ohio and is owned by Paul Neel. The name of the dog is Neel's Eli. He's out of FC Northway Slim Jim and a Sampson femle.
Cody Rutter has another nice hound in Southern Ohio named Mt. Nebo's River Valley MoJo. He's out of Reffett's KY MTN Stride and a Sampson female.
Both of the Sampson females that had these two males were very good females.

Elliot if you ever get around Coshocton, give me a call, I run dogs every day. Hows your mom and dad doing? We use to run horses together. I ran into your brother a few years back at a coonhunt. Dan and I both run beagles and he's working in Massillion at the Heinz Plant. You can call me at 740-622-6995 or

Thornie, I talked to you a couple of weeks ago. I called you about being an ARHA hound inspector. I don't know if you remember talking to me but I'm sure I would reconize you if I saw you. I also ran hourses all the time. I have probable seen you around at some coon hunts also. The person Dan that you are speeking about don't ring a bell. I have you number and i'll call you if I'm down your way. I hear you have some fine hounds! Yes I can ride the hide off of a horse. By the time I came along to ride my older brothers were getting married and getting places of there own so I was the only one left to ride my horse and theres. I would go to a show and ride anywhere from 5 or 6 horses in each class. I road in 5 classes, barls, cones, Poels, flag, ball race at each show so I got pretty good at it. Take care and keep them hound runnen.
