I was just wondering how far other people drive to get to their running grounds. I am very lucky to only have to drive 5 minutes from my house to run my hounds.

Our closest place is about 30 minutes away, but we typically drive an hour or more.

30 min's to an hour. But once I get back to MO, I will hopefully have running grounds out my back door.

I'm very lucky I guess. I turn mine loose out of the kennel and the hunt is on. About a 1000 acres to run on. Some of my younger hounds don't know what a leash is or ever been in the the dog box. There's the down side.

We cut em loose here on our property quite often, but our best running/hunting spots are about 10-15 mins. away at the in-laws and at my husband's grandfather's farm. We don't normally drive more than 20 mins. unless hunting with others on land they have permission to hunt.

I let them run behind the house, but is usually only good for a couple of rabbits.
I often drive over 30 minutes to run in different places with more rabbits though.
